Ramadan went well so far, I lost a whole stone :o) and 1/2 stone more would be just nice to lose walhamdulelah, and apart from the first day which was a long difficult day which was due to not have something to eat the night before "no sahoor" , but the weather alhamdulelah helped to make the rest of the days pass easily as it is at the moment getting cold ,wet , and lots of high winds so as you can see quite exciting days :o) .
Doing Ramadan in a non Muslim country is a quite challenge and it is not the same as spending it at home, inshallah one day my next visit to Libya would be within Ramadan as I miss all the special atmosphere surrounding the days of the holy month.
Last week my shift was finishing at 7pm so I broke my fast while driving home on the motorway, this week I finish at 6pm so that’s ok as I’ll be back home just after 6:30.
The month of Ramadan is the only month that I actually watch the Arabic TV stations as having the TV blaring with screams out of an Egyptian series “mosalsalat” add a special flavor to the Iftar sitting :o) .
